Master Teddy Jordan
Master Teddy Jordan was raised outside of Washington DC in Clinton, MD. He has over 35 years of experience in the martial arts and he is currently a 7th Dan Black Belt in Okinawan Shorin Ryu Karate and Kobudo. His Karate/Kobudo Sensei is Hanshi Clarence Murray, and hist Aikijujutsu Sensei is Grand Master Ali Shabazz. Since 2003 Master Teddy Jordan has taught martial arts at the Prince George's Sports and Learning Complex located in Landover, MD to students of all ages and backgrounds. One of Master Jordan's greatest honors and accomplishments occurred in 2018 when Hanshi Murray publicly announced Master Jordan as his successor and heir to the Murray's Okinawan Karate System.
Not only does Master Jordan enjoy training and teaching the martial arts, but he also loves to compete. Master Jordan is a multiple-time NASKA champion and a Nationally ranked competitor on the NASKA circuit. He is currently ranked in the top 3 of all of his divisions according to the NASKA WORLD BLACKBELT RANKINGS. Master Jordan's favorite divisions to participate in are the weapons divisions. In March of 2023 Master Jordan was asked to become a member of the US MARTIAL ARTS TEAM as a competitor and as the state coach for Maryland. Master Jordan was responsible for putting together a team from Maryland to represent TEAM USA in International competition at the 13th WORLD MARTIAL ARTS GAMES held July 2023 in Daytona Beach, FL. With over 23 countries represented in this competition this was the first time in 15 years that the World Games were held on American soil. Master Jordan assembled a team of 32 competitors from Maryland of all ages, genders, and ranks to represent TEAM USA. At the end of the WORLD GAMES, TEAM USA-Maryland walked away with 45 Gold medals, 28 Silver medals, and 15 Bronze medals. As for Master Jordan, he walked away with 2 WORLD CHAMPION titles in both traditional and creative weapons along with winning the Overall Adult Black Belt Weapons Grand Champion title. Master Jordan is already preparing to defend his world champion titles at the 14TH WORLD MARTIAL ARTS GAMES to be held in Dubai in 2025. Master Jordan continues to teach and place strong emphasis on developing students into leaders and becoming individuals with strong moral character. The importance of education is stressed in the dojo, and it is made imperative that all students maintain high GPA's in order to attend classes. Mediocrity is not accepted. Students are expected to strive for greatness at all times in everything that they do. Master Jordan holds a Bachelor's degree in Cardio-Pulmonary Science/Respiratory Therapy from Florida A&M University, and 2 Master Degrees in Business Administration (MBA) and Healthcare Administration from the University of Maryland.
